Soul: Cuisine with Aloha & Spice

Who said you can't find good southern food in Hawaii? Come to Soul Cafe in Kaimuki. Pictured here is the fried chicken and vegetarian chili mini combo plate ($8). The fried chicken is, as @wehearthawaii puts it, BROKE DA MOUTH. It was hot, crispy, and so tasty. The cornbread was equally pleasing. The chili was also delightful and even though I normally cannot eat chili without rice, this chili doesn't need it.

They also serve the same great southern cuisine out of a lunchwagon. Follow them on Twitter (@PacificSoul) to find out where they'll be.
