McDonald's Restaurants of Hawaii Big Mac Mondays

McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii wants you to join in the fun and cheer for University of Hawaii Rainbow Warrior football with Big Mac Mondays, a promotion to support UH Athletics. For every touchdown scored by the Rainbow Warrior football team during regular and post-season games, McDonald’s will donate $500 toward the UH Athletics program.

Big Mac Mondays also features something fun for UH fans. Every Monday, customers who purchase a Big Mac Extra Value Meal will receive a second Big Mac sandwich free.

“We’re excited to help get the team and fans ready for UH Rainbow Warrior football this season,” said Melanie Okazaki, regional marketing manager of McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii. “This is a great way for us to give back to UH Athletics while providing a way for fans to feed their inner warrior.”

Last year, McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii raised $15,500 for the UH Athletic Department with its Touchdown Tuesdays promotion, donating $500 for every UH touchdown during the football season. Over the past six years, McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii has donated nearly $75,000 to UH Athletics through similar programs during the UH football season.

“We’re very pleased that McDonald’s is continuing this successful promotion,” Ben Jay, UH athletics director, said. “It provides financial support for our football program, while also extending value to our fans through food discounts. Mahalo to all of McDonald’s owners and operators.”

Big Mac Mondays begins on Monday, September 2, 2013 and runs every week through Monday, December 2, 2013.
